PERRENIAL campaigners Harare City will face Bulawayo City in the 2017 Chibuku Super Cup final in a clash that has been dubbed Battle of the Municipalities.

The semifinal draw was conducted at the PSL offices Tuesday morning where Chibuku Super brand manager Karen Dhliwayo called for the spirit of sportsmanship in the wake of skirmishes that have dampened this year’s tourney.

The PSL sits late Tuesday to determine the abandoned match between Shabanie Mine and Caps United but it is almost now clear the Zvishavane side will be awarded that game.

The Shabanie v Caps match ended prematurely in the 67th minute with the hosts leading 1-0 after assistant referee Thomas Kusosa – who had ruled out a Caps United “goal” – was hit by a missile and could not continue.

That incident came a few days after a first round mishap that saw Chicken Inn walking off in the last five minutes in protest against a penalty awarded to Yadah FC.

Yadah FC were awarded that game on a 3-0 score line by the PSL Disciplinary Committee, an outcome that is now likely in the Shabanie v Caps United saga.
