Chelsea Captain Terry ‘Out For Days, Not Weeks’
Chelsea defender John Terry is expected to make a quick recovery from injury and be ready to face Liverpool on Friday, according to reports.
The former England international left the Liberty Stadium on crutches after the Blues’ 2-2 draw with Swansea on Sunday.
Terry rolled his left ankle during the fixture and there had been concerns that the Chelsea captain could miss several weeks.
However, an MRI scan is now understood to have ruled out the possibility of a fracture and the defender could be fit to face Jurgen Klopp’s side on Friday.
Sky Sports News HQ presenter Jim White said on Twitter: “Update on John Terry injury: no fracture – out for days not weeks #CFC”

It will come as a relief to Chelsea fans with Antonio Conte hinting that new signing David Luiz – who joined from PSG for £34million on transfer deadline day – isn’t quite ready for a starting berth.
“I think we have improved our squad. We needed two defenders in this transfer market. Two good players arrived who can improve our squad.
“Now it’s important for them to work very hard, to go into our idea of football and to show me that they deserve to play.
“I think the new players need a bit of time to work with a new manager and a new philosophy. It’s important to give them time.”
