Chelsea Beat Bourrnemouth
Chelsea ensured they maintained their seven point gap at the top of the Premier League standings with a comprehensive 3-1 win over Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday evening.
The Blues needed a bit of luck for their first goal, as Diego Costa’s shot deflected off Adam Smith, but the second goal was very well taken by Eden Hazard.
Joshua King also needed the help of a deflection to help his shot just beat Thibaut Courtois and end up in the top corner just before halftime, while Benik Afobe came close to an equaliser when he struck the woodwork.
But Marcos Alonso made sure that Chelsea regained their seven-point lead at the top of the Premier League standings when he sent a gorgeous free kick into the top corner.
