Chapungu Seek Consistency At Home

Chapungu will be seeking consistency at home when they take on Mutare City Rovers at Ascot stadium on Sunday.

The Airmen have won only twice in their backyard against Hwange and lately against champions Chicken Inn last weekend. The Airforce side has been poor at home this season with their supporters venting their frustrations after the team allowed How Mine to equalise at the dearth.

Coach John Nyikadzino feels its high time they make their home ground a fortress.

" Winning against champions is naturally sweet and crucial. Its a morale booster which should herald a new beginning. We should now be consistent at home winning matches especially going into the penultimate second round of the season. We should start by beating Mutare City," said Nyikadzino.

Nyikadzino will be banking on the resurgent Allen Tavarwisa for goals while lively winger Xolani Ncube brings a different dimension on the wings.  The Gweru based side has also signed former ZPC Kariba midfielder Simon Maengeni and nomadic former Tripple B and Hwange striker Aleck Marime.
