Castle Lager PSL Matchday 11 Round Up

Sunday afternoon's Castle lager Premier League action saw Dynamos make it two wins on the trot after beating ZPC Kariba, while crowd trouble reared its ugly head in a match involving Highlanders fans again at Mandava stadium.

Violence Rares Ugly Head Again

With the judgement over the ill-fated match involving Highlanders and Dynamos a fortnight after Highlanders fans forced that match-up to be abandoned after 42 minutes, crowd trouble caused another abandonment at Mandava stadium as scores were level 1-1 between FC Platinum and Highlanders.

Peter Mudhuwa conceded a penalty in time added on as Bosso were leading 1-0 through a Tendai Ngulube 80th minute goal. The spot kick was converted by Platinum’s Petros Mhari but Highlanders fans were not having any of it as they started throwing missiles onto the pitch with police having to resort to teargas to quell the disturbances.

With the judgement over the match involving Dynamos set to be handed out, this is the last thing Bosso needed and any clemency is probably now off the table.

Dembare Makes It Two On The Trot

Dynamos made it two wins in a row with a 3-1 win over ZPC Kariba at the National Sports Stadium. The former Harare giants also beat Harare City 1-0 on Thursday. Emmanuel Mandiranga, Denver Mukamba and Quality Kangadzi scored for Dynamos while Daniel Chakupe was on target for ZPC.

At Baobab Stadium, Ngezi Platinum edged Bulawayo City 3-2. Tichaona Mabvura, Walter Mukanga and Qadar Amini scored for the home team while Rainsome Pavari and Zephenia Ngodzo were on target for Bulawayo City.

Champions CAPS United were held to a 1-1 draw away to Triangle at Gibbo Stadium. Simba Makoni cancelled a Kudzai Nyamupfukudza strike barely three minutes later after the midfielder had put CAPS Ahead in the 65th minute.

Lincoln Samariya struck the priceless goal as Black Rhinos maintained pressure on leaders Ngezi with a 1-0 victory over Yadah FC.

Maxwell Mavhuto and Tinei Chitora scored for Chapungu did as they dispatched the equally struggling Tsholotho 2-0 at Ascot Stadium in Gweru.

Chicken Inn had Darryl Nyandoro to thank as his goal sank a fired up Shabanie mine at Luveve while the match between Hwange and How Mine ended goalless at the Colliery.
