Castle Lager Best Brew League Draw

The Official Draw of the Castle lager Best Brew League took place at the Royal Marang Hotel on Friday night building up to an exciting inaugural 5-a-side football tournament set for the Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace on Saturday and Sunday.

COSAFA and Castle Lager brand ambassadors Tinashe Nengomasha, Brian Baloyi, Siza Dlamini, Lehlohonolo Seema and Rotson Kilambe who have been instrumental in activating a series of regional events culminating in the finals, helped in conducting the draw that saw eight participating teams being pooled into two groups of four.

Zimbabwe who are being represented by six lucky consumers Tonderai Chisoro, Abel Nsingo, Munyaradzi Mtake, Rutendo Ncube, Dadirai Tarusenga and Nqobile Bhebhe were drawn in group B together with Zambia, Lesotho and Zambia Invitational while group A is made up of South Africa, Swaziland, Botswana and South Africa Invitational.

With its theme of fortifying bonds of belonging and true friendship, Castle Brand Manager for Africa, Thomas Lawrence welcomed the draw and expressed his excitement for the inaugural Best Brew League.

“I think it’s a fair draw for all the teams taking part in the tournament this weekend,” says Lawrence.

“The journey for all the teams has been a long one and it is exciting for us at Castle Lager to finally be at this stage where the action is happening. Our wish is to see our consumers enjoy the game they love and celebrate friendship.”

The winners of the Best Brew league will get a chance to curtain raise the 2017 COSAFA Castle Cup final between Zimbabwe and Zambia against the COSAFA and Castle lager legends.
