Caps United To Lose Chungwa

GOLDEN BOOT winner and Soccer Star of the Year finalist Dominic Chungwa is set to leave Caps United in the off season with South Africa a possible destination, his coach Lloyd Chitembwe has hinted.

Chungwa’s goal scoring exploits, which saw him banging 17 in the just ended 2017 Castle Lager PSL, have attracted interest from a number of foreign clubs.

He turns 32 in January next year.

Caps United’s other striker John Zhuwawo is already on trials at Ajax Cape Town.

“Dominic and John are almost on their way out. We are happy with their progress and we just want to encourage them to keep on working hard so that they realize their ambitions.

“Chungwa is one guy who is earmarked to go outside the country. He has the instincts of a striker that can get you a goal when you least expect him to score,” Chitembwe said.

Chungwa and Devon Chafa are the only Caps United players on the calendar.

It’s the second year in a row, Caps United have provided a Golden Boot winner after Leonard Tsipa won it with 11 goals last season.
