CAPS United keep pressure on Highlanders

 

CAPS United continued their good home form by clinching another set of three points when they beat Bulawayo City 2-0. Simba Nhivi opened the scoring in the fifth minute before turning provider to veteran striker Leonard Tsipa who headed in at the near 2 minutes to half time for CAPS United’s second.

Innocent Kutsanzira pulled one back for Bulawayo City in the second half as he headed in an Emmanuel Mandiranga cross, but the damage had already been done as the Green Machine held on for a priceless win.

At Barbourfields, Highlanders registered their first league win over ZPC Kariba with a 39th minute goal through Adrian Silla. The victory sees Highlanders stretch their unbeaten run to 9 games and move them to 26 points on top of the log, 2 ahead of CAPS who are on 24.

Mutare City edged Hwange 1-0 through a Chastern Ngondonga first half goal. This was Gusha Bhora’s third win of the season and it moved them into 14th place on the table.
