Lloyd Chitembwe is confident that CAPS United are going to win the league title after posting a memorable comeback to snatch a crucial point in the 3-3 draw against Dynamos at the National Sports stadium.
“This team has certain qualities of greatness. It's very unusual to have a team that can scrap a result when things are not going their way. I am sure good things are beckoning for us", said Chitembwe.
“I thought it was very good game both sets applied themselves. I honestly felt we had a good chance when we took that last corner kick because they were delaying and its dangerous as it retards concentration."
Dynamos looked to have clinched a big win over their cross town rivals with a 3-0 lead but three goals in the last seven minutes secured CAPS United a massive point that keeps them on top of the Castle Lager PSL Log.
Rodreck Mutuma opened the scoring finishing off a rebound after Jorum Muchambo parried back into play a shot from Brett Amidu.
The home side looked dusted and buried in the second half when Masimba Mambare and Tawanda Macheke scored two goals to make it 3-0 but with only four minutes to the end, Dennis Dauda initiated the great comeback with a header before Amon Kambanje gave them hope with a second goal. Dauda then ensured that CAPS United got the vital point that kept them at the top ahead of Highlanders when he headed in a last minute corner kick from Ronald Pfumbidzai.
A loss for CAPS United could have seen Highlanders who beat Bulawayo City 3-1 at Barbourfields stadium assume pole position going into the last three round of matches.
Simon Munawa, Gabriel Nyoni and King Nadolo were on target for Bosso while Xolisani Moyo pulled one back for Bulawayo from the penalty spot just before halftime.
At the Colliery Hwange eased relegation worries with a 2-1 win over Harare City while How Mine won 2-1 away to Triangle.
