CAPS UNITED’S rebuilding exercise could receive major knock should striker John Zhuwawu’s move to South African side Maritzburg United materialize.

Zhuwawu is now Caps United’s chief striker following the departure of 2017 Golden Boot winner Dominic Chungwa who is now at Polokwane City in South Africa.

The talented Zhuwawu has attracted interest from ABSA Premiership side Maritzburg United who are also home to Warriors striker Evans Rusike.

Zhuwawu will undergo trials on Wednesday.

Caps United president Farai Jere confirmed the latest development.

“John is flying out on Wednesday…as Caps United we do not stand in a player’s way,” said Jere.
