Caps Lose Again, Chicken Inn On Top

CAPS United suffered their fourth defeat in five matches after falling 3-1 at Chicken Inn who assumed pole position on Thursday afternoon.

Chicken Inn are now the new log leaders with 38 points, a point above Ngezi Platinum Stars as the race saunters towards the exciting stage.

After losing 2-3 to Harare City last Saturday, Caps United coach Lloyd Chitembwe demanded a response from his charges but it seems things are going from bad to worse for Makepekepe.

They have now conceded 11 goals in the last five games and they remain third from bottom with 14 points from 13 games.

At Luveve Thursday afternoon, Rahman Gumbo’s well drilled Gamecocks scored twice inside the first 15 minutes through Obadiah Tarumbwa in the 10th minute and Passmore Bernard who doubled the lead four minutes later.

There was renewed belief amongst the Makepekepe faithful when the menacing Phineas Bamusi pulled one back in the 50th minute but all hope was lost when Tarumbwa buried the game six minutes from full time.
