CAPS Big Blow

CAPS United star Hardlife Zvirekwi is suspended for the game against Hwange at the Colliery on Sunday.

Zvirekwi, who has accumulated three yellow cards, is key man for CAPS United as they challenge for the title. He sat on the bench for the ZDF select game on Tuesday, a match they lost 2-0. After that game he emphasized the need to be focused in the last 12 games of the season.

“I would not call the league title race a two-horse race because there is still along way to go and the last games of the season needs us to concentrate. We need to focus and put our feet on the ground as we face the challenges in the last games,” said Zvirekwi.

The Warriors star has been playing at a high level for long time.

“The secret has been hard work if you are a player. That way you try to help the team grind as much points as you can.”

CAPS United are two points behind log leaders FC Platinum who are on 38 points. The Harare giants want to put to an end the 11 year wait for the league title.

Norman Mapeza charges face Mutare City at Mandava on Saturday while third-placed Highlanders, who are on 31 points, face Rahman Gumbo’s Chicken Inn.
