Bulawayo City Seek Platinum Revenge

Philani "Beefy" Ncube has warned that Bulawayo City are ready to revenge for a defeat they suffered away to FC Platinum at Mandava two weeks ago in a Castle Lager Premiership match.

“We are ready for them and we are going to play. I was hurt to lose at Mandava. I am from Midlands Province, Buchwa Mine to be precise so losing at home was very painful.

“I want to beat Platinum with the same score-line at BF (Barbourfields). They were very lucky to have collected maximum points against us.

“It’s a game of two halves. They played their first half at Mandava and the second half will be in Bulawayo on Saturday (tomorrow). They managed to utilize their home advantage and we are going to do the same,” said Ncube

A goal by Brian Muzondiwa in the 26th minute helped the platinum miners to maximum points. It was Muzondiwa first goal of the season having spent the first half of the season watching from the terraces.

Ncube’s man must be wary of Gerald Takwara, Winston Mhango, Rodwell Chinyengetere, Marshall Mudehwe, Walter Musona and Tarisai Rukanda who are on song.

Bulawayo City will be banking on Zibusiso Sibanda who is playing a game of his life in defence.

Innocent Kutsanzira and Mkhokheli Dube are the other players who are expected to use their vast experience to unlock the defence of Pure Platinum Play.
