Bosso To Play At Mandava In Chibuku Cup
DREADLOCKED Harare City FC Striker Grey Kufandada says his team will not be intimidated by Highlanders’ physical approach when the two sides clash in the Chibuku Super Cup first round on Sunday at Mandava.
Kufandada is expected to lead the Harare City attack with fellow speed merchant Martin Vengesayi against a highly physical Bosso defence that is marshalled by the controversial Peter Muduhwa.
Muduhwa grabbed the headlines once again when he was head butted by Dynamos’ striker Ntouba in an off the ball scuffle a fortnight ago at Rufaro in a high tension league match that ended 1-1.
Highlanders used all means possible to stop DeMbare’s frontline which was spearheaded by Cameroonian striker Ntouba and in the end the expatriate lost his cool and got sent off in the 87th minute.
However, City’s speedy striker Kufandada believes Highlanders can be beaten at Mandava on Sunday.
“We are going into the game with a positive mind and we are going to win. They have a strong defence but we are going to penetrate and get goals.
“It will be a win for us and our supporters,” he told Harare City FC's official website.
Harare City FC have an impressive record in Chibuku Cup having won it in 2016, a year before they were controversially beaten by FC Platinum in the final played at Mandava Stadium.
They were semi- finalists last year.
The Sunshine Boys also have an incredible goal scoring record in the cup and will be hoping for a change of fortunes when they return to Zvishavane to face a limping Highlanders.
