
Bosso, Hwange Lose Key Players
HIGHLANDERS and Hwange have been hit body blows ahead of their match day 22 Castle lager Premier Soccer League matches with the suspension of their key and inform players.
Highlanders, still bustling from their maiden 2-0 second half of the season win over How Mine, will go to Border Strikers without Erick Mudzingwa, who commandeered the midfield department like a general on Sunday while the league’s leading goal scorer with eight goals, Gift Mbweti will miss next Wednesday’s clash against Chicken Inn.
The two are part of the seven players who have each accumulated three yellow cards, according to a communiqué from the PSL.
“Please note that the player(s) listed hereunder have each accumulated three (3) yellow cards and will be suspended for one match respectively.
The said player(s) shall not participate in their club’s matchday twenty-two of the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League matches scheduled for the 3rd to 7th August 2016.”
Mostafa Ponyera (Tsholotsho), Gift Mbweti (Hwange), Tichaona Mapungwana (triangle United ), Tinashe Mugadzaweta (Border Strikers), Erick Mudzingwa (Highlanders), Liberty Chakoroma (Ngezi Platinum Stars) and Jimmy Tigere (Harare City) complete the list of suspended players.
