Bosso Fans Pledge To Fundraise For The Team

Newly elected executive for Highlanders Gwanda supporters branch has pledged to help the team out of its financial quagmire through fundraising initiatives.

Speaking at the formalization of the committee in Gwanda at a function attended by the Highlanders main executive at the weekend, the branch’s secretary Mkhulunyelwa Ngwenya said it was the task of the supporters to help out the executive when the team is in a crisis.

“It is our task as supporters to chip in when our team is facing challenges. As the Gwanda chapter we will liaise with the main branch in Bulawayo and see how we can help out the team by fundraising resources,” said Ngwenya.

“As supporters our desire is always to see the team succeed and fight for honours every season. We will also help the club to scout for talent in Matabeleland South province. We are also creating a database for supporters in the province so that the team can benefit from the sale of Bosso regalia and merchandise.”

The club’s hierarchy including vice-chairperson Modern Ngwenya, treasurer Donald Ndebele, and committee member Wisdom Mabhena attended the function.

Highlanders are facing financial challenges and recently the club’s life members resolved to pledge a minimum $20 per month to help sustain the team.
