Bosso edge Ngezi
HIGHLANDERS brushed aside Ngezi Platinum 1-0 on Sunday to go top of the Castle Lager Premiership table.
Simon Munawa was on target.
Bosso coach Erol Akbay said they deserve to be at the top and he will not feel any pressure.
“Every club play to try and beat Highlanders so it is the same whether we are top or not. Every game will be very difficult for us.
“I’m very happy to beat the log leaders and then go top of the log. The guys will get more confidence now and matches like this change your season as a team,” he said.
Akbay added that Ngezi Platinum were defensive.
“There is a no doubt they have a team with a very good midfield and it is always very difficult playing against them, especially when they are playing for a draw.
“Second half we were even better and we created a lot of chances to try and change our situation,” said Akbay.
Bosso are now on 12 points and have a game in hand while Ngezi Platinum are on 10 points.
Ngezi Platinum had taken an early lead but the last three games have seen them collecting just a point from a possible nine.
