Boost For High Riding Black Rhinos
BLACK RHINOS have begun to reap the rewards of their strong start to the season and on Thursday the army side clinched a kit sponsorship deal with funeral services providers Doves.
As part of the deal Chauya Chipembere were presented with two kits – a red strip for home matches and a black strip for away fixtures.
Black Rhinos have punched well above their weight in the opening eleven games of the 2017 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.
They have 23 points in 11 games and they are second on the log table behind Ngezi Platinum.
Doves chief executive officer Talent Maziwisa said his company’s relationship with the army was embedded and said it was easy to choose Black Rhinos as a beneficiary.
“They (Black Rhinos) are worthy it. This is part of our organization’s corporate responsibility since we derive a lot of business from the Zimbabwe National Army.
“As you know it Doves who bury heroes and there are a lot of heroes out there. It is good to be associated with Black Rhinos,” he said.
Black Rhinos secretary Campbell Sithole was grateful.
“This is a good gesture and we promise we will not soil Doves’ brand,” he said.
