Boardroom Shake Up Looms At DeMbare
A major shakeup in the Dynamos executive is expected to follow the expulsion of Graham Mafoko early this week.
Mafoko, who was the executive board member responsible for marketing, was relieved of his duties on Monday although Dynamos board chair Bernard Marriot has refused to talk about the development.
SportsZone understands more heads will roll in the club’s executive with secretary general Webster Marechera and treasurer Moses Chikwaviro also expected to follow Mafoko out of DeMbare.
Insiders say this is part of the conditions set by former vice president Solomon Sanyamandwe who resigned from his post last month.
Sanyamandwe, according to sources, believes the trio of Marechera, Chikwaviro and Mafoko has been fanning divisions within the club.
The trio also stands accused of causing the standoff between club president Kenny Mubaiwa and Sanyamandwe.
Sanyamandwe, one of the chief financiers of the club in last season’s campaign, could bounce back as vice president in the next few weeks.
Mubaiwa could not be reached for comment.
