Big Night For Costa

Tuesday night is a big one for gangly Warriors centre back Costa Nhamoinesu whose Czech Republican side Sparta Praha host Steaua Bucuresti of Romania in a UEFA Champions League Third qualifying round clash at the Generali Arena in Praha.

The match kicks off at 8PM Zimbabwean time and according to Nhamoinesu’s agent Jakob Slowik, the towering defender looks set to start for the Czech Republic giants.

“Costa is great, today he has very important game. It’s the UEFA Champions League night,” said Slowik told Sports zone.

The return leg is on August 3 in Romania as the battles for group stage places rage on.

The 30-year-old Warriors defender signed a new three-year deal at Sparta Praha on June 24 and looks set to end his international career in the Czech Republic.

Nhamoinesu was one of the most outstanding players in the 2015/2016 Europa League and attracted the eye of various European clubs but the dreadlocked Warrior chose to stay at Sparta Praha.
