Bhasera Jets In, Chigova Set To Start For Warriors

Supersport United left back Onismor Bhasera has joined the Warriors camp and took part in Wednesday morning training session at Yadah Complex.

Bhasera had a CAF Confederations Cup match against TP Mazembe last weekend.

The injured Caps United duo of Dennis Dauda and Edmore Sibanda is still injured and will not be considered when the final 18 is announced on Friday afternoon.

Warriors coach Norman Mapeza took the players through some attacking drills as he continues to search for a starting XI to face Liberia in a 2019 Afcon qualifier at the National Sports on Sunday.

From the drill, it looks vice captain like Partson Jaure will partner Eric Chipeta at centre back with Bhasera occupying the left back position.

Black Rhinos right back Jameson Mukombwe looked sharp while Lincoln Zvasiya also played in that position.

New captain Knowledge Musona, Evans Rusike and Kuda Mahachi could form the attack line with Danny Phiri and Marvelous Nakamba playing his traditional central role.

Big goalkeeper George Chigova should be given the nod ahead of Petros Mhari and Ariel Sibanda.

“Everything is okay in camp, morale is high and the boys are happy with the camping conditions,” Warriors manager Wellington Mupandare said.

Injured Khama Billiat was not present as he is expected to arrive anytime.
