Beefy Confident Harare City Will Survive Relegation
HARARE CITY coach Philani “Beefy” Ncube was not as boisterous at Thursday’s press conference but the burly gaffer believes his team’s superb run in the Chibuku Cup will inspire their fight against relegation.
The Sunshine Boys have 31 points, one better than Shabanie Mine who occupy the last relegation spot and host Bantu Rovers at Rufaro on Saturday.
Harare City could be in the red by the time they host Bantu that is if Shabanie Mine beat Chicken Inn at Maglas on Friday.
“Three things are important in this game against Bantu, we have to avoid complacency, we have to attack together and defend together.
“We need to psyche up the boys because we are not safe from relegation. We are sitting on the edge of a razor.
“But I am sure our run in the Chibuku Cup will inspire us,” said Ncube.
Harare City booked a fourth consecutive Chibuku Super Cup semifinal last Saturday after beating Black Rhinos 1-0 at Rufaro.
On the other end, Bantu Rovers will be relegated from the top flight if they lose against City who will be missing the services of injured players Grey Kufandada, Maxwell Nyamupanedengu, Malvin Gaki and Jerry Chipangura.
