Bantu's Poor Record Continues

CONCEDING 31 goals in 12 games, the worst rate in the league so far, should worry any coach or club owner but Bantu Rovers director Methembe Ndlovu is not moved at all.

The Bulawayo side has the worst defence in the league and on Tuesday night Bantu Rovers conceded three against Caps United, taking their goals against tally to 31.

Ronald Chitiyo, Domini Chungwa and Amon Kambanji were on target for Caps United at the National Sports on Tuesday night as the defending champions moved into 11th position.

Bantu Rovers have six points out of a possible 36 and they are second from bottom as the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League drives towards the halfway stage.

“Why should I be worried? That’s football. It is the nature of the game (losing). We take each game as it comes and we still have a lot of games to play,” said the Bantu Rovers director.

Rovers have in the recent past indicated that they are back in the Premiership to promote young talent and their squad is evident.

Most of the players in the team are teenagers.
