Another Zimbabwean Player At Kaizer Chiefs

ZIMBABWEAN midfielder Tanaka Chinyahara is training with South African giants Kaizer Chiefs who are weighing up the possibility of signing the 21-year-old former Hobro central linkman.

Chinyahara’s contract with the Danish side expired on June 30 but the player had already left the European country.

He trained with Dynamos in Harare but a move did not materialize and now the Chitungwiza bred player has set his sights on Amakhosi.

Chinyahara joined Chiefs’ preseason on Monday.

He is a former Bidvest Wits academy player, and after five years at the club's youth structures, he moved straight to Hobro IK in 2015.

Chinyahara is a central midfielder, and with Chiefs having already missed out on the signature of Thamsanqa Sangweni, who joined Orlando Pirates, the player could well use this opportunity to win the heart of Steve Komphela.

Chiefs can still afford to sign one more foreign international, although their foreign quota could be freed up when Michelle Katsvairo finally leaves the Soweto giants on loan.

The Glamour Boys have already signed Chinyahara's countryman Teenage Hadebe as part of strengthening their squad for the upcoming campaign.
