Amazulu Terminate Antipas And Matore Contracts

South Africa ABSA premiership side AmaZulu have parted ways with the coaching duo of Joey Antipas and Prince Matore.

Antipas was appointed by Amazulu in May 2016 from Chicken Inn.

The former Chicken Inn coach and his assistant Matore, were let go after failing to guide Amazulu to promotion from the National First Division last season where they finished fifth.

As a result AmaZulu bought their way into the top flight with the purchase of Thanda Royal Zulu's Absa Premiership status.

Usuthu General Manager Lunga Sokhela confirmed the departure of the two coaches via the club's website and thanked the pair for their service to the club and wished them well.

“We’d like to wish Mr Antipas and Matore the best of luck in their future endeavors, we thank them for their time spent with us.”

The ABSA PSL appointed former Platinum Stars mentor Calvin Johnson as their new head coach for the 2017/18 season.
