Al Ahli Tripoli Jets In For Caps United Tie
Caps United are a respected side but they can be beaten in their own backyard, Al Ahli Tripoli coach Talaat Youssef declared soon after his team’s arrival at the Harare International Airport Tuesday afternoon.
Zimbabwean champions Caps United host Al Ahli in a CAF Champions League Group B match at the National Sports on Friday afternoon.
Caps United have three points after beating USM Alger at the same venue last week while the visitors have a single point gained when they held Zamalek in Tunisia.
Kick off is 3PM.
“Of course we have to win to continue with our hope to go to the next stage because we have one point and Caps United have three points,” said Youssef.
Al Ahli Tripoli were met at the airport by ZIFA communications manager Xolisani Gwesela and some Caps officials.
“We have respect for Caps United, they are a good side but the target is to reach the next stage. We have to win the game on Friday, we have prepared to win and get three points,” said the Al Ahli coach who admitted he doesn’t have enough information on Caps United.
“Not too much information on Caps, we saw them play against Zamalek and last week against USM Alger,” said the coach.
