Akbay Wary Of Ailing Harare City
Highlanders coach Erol Akbay thinks Harare City are still a difficult team to play against despite the Sunshine Boys’ poor start to the 2017 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.
Harare City have their backs on the wall having won only once in seven outings and their coach Mike Madzivanyika is now facing the chop.
The match kicks off at 3PM Zimbabwean time.
“They (Harare City) are a difficult team with good players. It is not going to be an easy match for us,” said Akbay.
The coach says his team has moved on from Sunday’s disappointment when Bosso fans forced the abandonment of the high profile clash against Dynamos at Barbourfields.
Bosso have since been hauled before the PSL disciplinary committee and they will appear on Tuesday May 23.
“We have moved forward and we are ready for our next game. We want to continue from where we left off at Barbourfields.
“We were playing good soccer before the game was interrupted and eventually cancelled off,” said Akbay.
A number of Bosso players who spoke to SportsZone on condition of anonymity believe they could have gone on and won Sunday’s match had the crowd not forced the cancellation.
“That was one of the weakest Dynamos side we will ever meet. Their defence was poor and we could have scored at least three goals in that match,” said one player.
