
A Hearty End To Tag Rugby Season
Tag Rugby Trust Zimbabwe over the last three months managed to introduce at least 1 500 children to rugby in four towns across the country.
According to TRT, the project has conduct over 100 community projects and run 12 tag rugby tournaments in Harare, Bulawayo, Hwange and Victoria Falls.
“Over the last two weeks all areas have had their final tournaments. In the Harare the Elephants from Chitungwiza with coach Cheksi Vurayi and the Sharks from Glen View under coach Brighton Mhembere won the overall League Cup titles.
“In Bulawayo Tinashe Mutema led the Crusaders from Bain’s Primary School and Allian Sibanda led Hwange’s Railton Leopards from to Cup title in the combined Hwange and Vic Falls League.
To round up their campaign, teams in Bulawayo conducted a celan-up campaign before they visited the Ekuphumuleni Old people’s home where they donated foodstuffs, toiletries and clothing before cleaning the cleaning the old people’s houses.
