The Castle Lager Premier Soccer League top Five teams of 2017 provided all of the 11 Castle Soccer Star finalists at the selection held in Harare on Tuesday morning.

Of the five teams only Ngezi Platinum Stars has three players while the rest – FC Platinum, Dynamos, Chicken Inn and CAPS United provided two players each.

Chicken Inn’s Clemence Matawu became the first player in Zimbabwe's modern day premier league to be voted six times among the 11 finest players.

2017 Castle Lager PSL top scorer Dominic Chungwa, Rodwell Chinyengetere, Qadar Amini and Dynamos’ Christian Epoupa are some of the players who are among the best 11 of the year.

The Soccer Star Of the Year winner will be announced in December at a banquet to be hosted by the sponsors Delta Beverages.
